For the past 20 years, April L. Watkins has worked with various companies, clients and individuals to create appropriate communications, manage brands and images, and deliver effective messages to their target audiences. In 2000, she founded Watkins Communications to provide a specialized approach for clients seeking a strategic and individually focused plan for their business or image/brand enhancement.
Watkins has managed joint-projects with many governmental entities, including The White House, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of the Interior, and the Department of Defense. She is experienced in dealing with clients from various cultures and has managed events across the United States and in several foreign countries.
She has extensive experience in publishing, writing and editing. In 2001, Watkins spearheaded the launch of the award-winning American Spirit Magazine and has served as executive and contributing editor for several trade and organizational periodicals. Presently, she produces a weekly news column that focuses on political analysis and current events.
